Add Elements to ArrayList - Testingpool

Add Elements to ArrayList

In the previous post, we have learnt how to iterate over elements in array list.  In this post, we will see how to add elements to arraylist.

We use add() method to add the elements to array list.

Syntax:

public boolean add(Object element)

Example:

import java.util.ArrayList;

public class ArrayListEx {

	public static void main(String[] args) {
		ArrayList<Integer> numList = new ArrayList<Integer>();
		numList.add(3);
		numList.add(5);
		numList.add(6);
		numList.add(1);

		for(Integer num : numList){
			System.out.println("The number is "+num);
		}
	}
}

Output:

The number is 3
The number is 5
The number is 6
The number is 1
