Add Element at the specified index in Vector
In the previous post, we have seen how to add element to the vector. In this post, we will see how to add element at the specified index in vector.
The method ‘add(int index,E element)’ is used to add the element to the vector.
Syntax:
public void add(int index,E element)
index: The position where the element will be added.
E element: The element which needs to be added.
Example:
import java.util.Vector; public class VectorExmple { public static void main(String[] args) { Vector<String> car = new Vector<String>(3); //it has capacity of 3 car.addElement("BMW"); car.addElement("Honda"); car.addElement("Audi"); System.out.println("All cars : "+car); car.add(1, "Ferrari"); System.out.println("Added Ferrari at index 1 : "+car); } }
Output:
All cars :[BMW, Honda, Audi]
Added Ferrari at index 1 :[BMW, Ferrari, Honda, Audi]
