Get subList from LinkedList
In the previous post, we have seen how to search element in LinkedList. In this post, we will learn how to get sublist from LinkedList.
There is a method as sublist() which takes start and end position as arguments to define the range of the sublist.
Syntax:
subList(int startIndex, int endIndex)
startIndex: Start position of the range.
endIndex: End position of the range.
Example:
import java.util.LinkedList; import java.util.List; public class LinkedListEx { public static void main(String[] args) { LinkedList<String> fruits = new LinkedList<String>(); fruits.add("Orange"); fruits.add("Mango"); fruits.add("Apple"); fruits.add("Grapes"); fruits.add("Mango"); fruits.add("Banana"); fruits.add("Grapes"); fruits.add("Dates"); List subList = fruits.subList(2, 5); System.out.println("Sublist contains elements from index 2 to 5 :"+ subList); } }
Output:
Sublist contains elements from index 2 to 5 :[Apple, Grapes, Mango]
