Add all collections in ArrayList
In the previous post, we have seen how to add an element at a particular position. In this post, we will see how to add a collection of element to an arrayList.
For this, we use the addall() method to add the collection.
Syntax:
public boolean addAll(Collection c)
Example:
import java.util.ArrayList; public class ArrayListEx { public static void main(String[] args) { ArrayList<String> fruits = new ArrayList<String>(); fruits.add("Apple"); fruits.add("Orange"); fruits.add("Mango"); fruits.add("Grapes"); System.out.println("Fruits list : "+fruits); ArrayList<String> vegitables = new ArrayList<String>(); vegitables.add("carrot"); vegitables.add("potato"); vegitables.addAll(fruits); System.out.println("Vegitables + Fruits : "+vegitables); } }
Output:
Fruits list : [Apple, Orange, Mango, Grapes]
Vegitables + Fruits : [carrot, potato, Apple, Orange, Mango, Grapes]
